"Four months ago I purchased a set of new tires from Delta Tire. I also purchased road hazard insurance with these tires. Last Sunday one of the tires had a failure under the road hazard provision. My Granddaughter was driving at the time. She tried to put the spare tire on but the lug nuts were so tight several people could not get them loose. At the time the temp. was about 4 deg.. We had to abandon the car and the next morning we called Delta Tire to repair the tire. They said they would but would charge $35.00 service. After a discussion they agreed to waive the service fee. If their staff had not over tightened the lug nuts a service call would not have been required. They also confirmed tire was covered under the road hazard provision. I thought the matter was resolved.

When we went to pick up the repair we were met with a big surprise. The tire needed replacing under the road hazard provision and they found a whole list of charges totaling $74.20 to bill us for. The original cost of the tire was about $120.00 and it had less than 2,000 miles on it. When I challenged the billing they threated to pull the tire off the car. To finally allow us to leave with the car after I paid them $40.00.

We are asking for a refund of the $40.00.
