"Dear Sir : I am writing this complaint on Dealer Services - N.C.W.C. Drawer 469 , Allenhurst, NJ, 07711 . I received this warranty on 02/01/14 for my 2011 Avalanche . Service Agreement # OURIW18475 . In February 2017 , I had blown the #4 cylinder and a few other things. The warranty people came to inspect the damage and said that they would get me a 900 dollar engine. When my engine had only 76,000+ on it and to replace it would cost over 5000+ dollars. Than they came up with ....." I WOULD HAVE TO PAY 2,600+ DOLLARS AND THAY WOULD PAY THE OTHER HALF. " I feel that they have duped me. Because my warranty (as they have it) started when I first got the vehicle in 2011. I didn't need a warranty. It was a brand new vehicle and it came with a factory warranty. Now this warranty ends January 01/2018. I paid this warranty off at $2637.00. I am missing 3 years on this warranty . I am coming to you to set my problem straight. An to find out what can I do to get reimbursed for all the moneys I am out. Respectfully And Sincerely , Robert Jackson."

    According to our records your recent engine claim was approved and paid to Bob Johnson Chevrolet in the amount of $2659.29 on 02/21/2017.

    Your coverage is for active until the vehicle reaches 7 years old or when the odometer reached 100,000 miles.

    The amount initially requested from Bob Johnson Chevrolet was for a repair of your existing engine assembly. The amount requested for the repair was $5850.50. The amount to replace the entire engine with a like kind and quality engine with less than your current mileage was only $2659.29. The most cost effect and reliable repair would be the replacement of the entire engine and not what could be a shorter term fix for double the cost.
