The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:

    "When the customer purchased this item on 9-18-2009, the item came with a 6 month warranty. We shipped it to a shop where the car was being worked on. They installed the supercharger and tuned the car (which requires running the vehicle). Then the customer drove the car home and noticed the supercharger was leaking. He contacted our company after a month of having the supercharger explained the issue he was having and we had him ship the item back. We repaired it free of charge and shipped it back to him (at no charge). The customer had the supercharger on his vehicle for over 10 months and is now saying the supercharger never worked and does not work now. I told him to send the supercharger back to us for evaluation, so we could see what was going on. I let him know that the superchargers warranty ended March 24, 2010 and that should anything need to be replaced it could cost him. He decided to take the supercharger elsewhere and have them rebuild it. Now he is wanting us to pay the cost of having someone else rebuild it, but his warranty ended over 5 months ago and the paperwork he received with the supercharger stated that. We are an authorized dealer and rebuilder of these superchargers and have an outstanding record with them. This is the first time we have had an issue like this and understand that sometimes you cant make everybody happy. I am willing to provide that documentation for his supercharger if needed, but I am not willing to pay him anything back or be responsible for the cost of rebuilding it. Thanks"

  • Obviously the claimant doesn't know anything about performance engines and parts. If your buying performance parts they are not plug and play. A supercharger can wear if just like the gaskets in the engines. If this guy really wants to know what its like to be ripped off go see Richard and Anthony at strictly performance.
