Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"They have taken money from my debit card that I did not authorize. The total amount is $242.43 and I want it returned.
After visiting them twice and paying them they have continued to debit my account for unauthorized money, and when you try to call them their line is busy or they are closed."

Additional Communication Between Claimant and Cole Center For Healing Hide
  • Jun 20, 2018, Claiming party added:
  • Its apparent the Cole Center has all the answers and none of the responsibility of seeing that their billing process is done properly. They say they sent an invoice but where was it sent? It the Patients responsibility to figure it out. After attempting to call them several times with no success, trying to find out what their charges were and what my insurance paid, and they till me that they did their job and all else is my responsibility. I have yet to receive an invoice on any service that I received from them. I was never told anything about what they charged for office visits.
And contrary to what they stated the last visit I had was bring them two other Patients and asking them a question about information I had received from them on a previous visit. Since the Dr. had to answer my question they billed me for another visit. The money will not make me or break me but no one else will be sent your way. However if any ask they will be told how you conduct your business.

"Mr. Vance made the appointments for which he was charged. He was seen by the doctor. He was given ample opportunity to pay his bill. We do not bill for asking questions and anything Mr. Vance was charged for was the balance due per his insurance company. He does know that we sent him the portal log in as we have an email to prove it. If after that email he did not get the log in information or was unable to access the portal it would be his responsiblity to contact us so that we could fix whatever issue was keeping him from having access. As well, it is also Mr. Vance's responsibility to find out from his insurance company what they paid on the daim and what he would owe."

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

"Mr. Vance made the appointments for which he was charged. He was seen by the doctor. He was given ample opportunity to pay his bill. We do not bill for "asking questions" and anything Mr. Vance was charged for was the balance due per his insurance company. He does know that we sent him the portal log in (a couple of times) as we have an email to prove it. If after that email he did not get the log in information or was unable to access the portal it would be his responsiblity to contact us so that we could fix whatever issue was keeping him from having access. We would have no idea whether he accessed the portal or not. As well, it is also Mr. Vance's responsibility to find out from his insurance company what they paid on the claim and what he would owe.""
