Claimant says:
"On Thursday Feb 25, 2016 we see a water leak on the ceiling of our family room. We call our plumber who comes to our house immediately (same day), removes the toilet and advises we should have a company do the mitigation work. He suggests Clean Green Cleaning and Restoration (their email address is @pacificrimcr.com)
Clean Green Cleaning and Restoration/Pacific Rim agrees to come the following day (Friday 2/16) to have a look; Steven Kime (of Pacific Rim) uses rather high pressure "sales" tactics to have my wife sign a check of $2,000 deposit and a document (I was at a meeting in Seattle); when my wife asked to read it, he said "don't worry, it's just for the deposit"( it turned out it was an authorization for work)
He told her a team of 2 people will come on Saturday morning to start the work; we told him we will be out of town for 2 weeks starting the following Monday and that he will not be able to continue the job in any case until we come back; he said it was important they start asap.
Meanwhile I tried to connect to his website but could not; when asked, S Kime said it was because it was still under development.
On Saturday morning, 2 people came to our house, started protecting the floor and said they wanted to open a big part of the ceiling. I told them I wanted to have an estimate first before they do anything to the ceiling; when they insisted they should continue, I asked them to talk to S Kime; he referred me to E Abraham (“project manager”) who came to our house immediately; I asked for an estimate, asked him to have his team leave until we make a decision and said that in any case the work would not start until we come back 2 weeks later.
I also asked for the name of 2 references, which we never got.

E Abraham sent me his quote later in the day. A few days later, as we still could not connect to their website and did not get their 2 references, we told Pacific Rim that we are not retaining their service.
Meanwhile we asked Jorge Ochoa (who was a trusted contractor when we built the house) to come on Monday morning to assess the situation.

When we told Pacific Rim we are not retaining their service, I asked for the refund of the deposit minus the work of the 2 people for 2 hours on Saturday morning. S Kime refused, saying it's not refundable; I left him at least 3 messages and communicated with E Abraham to try to reach an amicable agreement; in the end, I proposed that we split the amount ie they reimburse $1,000 .
3 discussions later with E Abraham, I gave up, as S Kime never returned my calls or replied to my emails, and we lost $2,000.

The amount in play is probably too small to retain a lawyer, who would cost at least $1,000, if not more. I just want people in the area or who are checking on the BBB website, to be aware of the behavior, highly non ethical and non professional (pressuring to sign a document and check and starting the job before even providing an estimate, etc...), of Pacific Rim/Clean Green Cleaning and Restoration.
