Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We have been TWC customers since we arrived here in California in July 2011.
Their claim to fame is that they do not have any contracts, but every year they will raise our rates substantially and we have to call and negotiate a new rate.

Which is all fine as this is their business model.

However, in this last rate hike they did not hold firm to their representatives commitment.

Our bill, including taxes was 131.96 upto our March invoice. As of the April invoice it went up to 151.33

At that time we called TWC and spoke with their rep called Ben. After reviewing our account Ben told us that he could lower our rate to our previous amounts , however the promotions that would do it were not coming into effect for a week. He further told us that to go ahead and take the 20 dollar discount and going forward our bill will remain the same and I would still have the same features.

When we got our May invoice, much to our disappointment our bill went for 151.33 to 163.62

When I contacted them on 4/30/16 , as usual I got one of their outsourced customer service vendors who tried to explain to me, in a very condescending tone, that this was in fact the best deal available. I was upset and demanded to speak with a supervisor who was just as uncooperative and transferred me thankfully to a rep in the USA whose name was Mia.

She was very helpful, and after reviewing our account , informed me that we had been put into an incorrect plan and that there was a bundle plan , more cost effective and was able to lower our rate with taxes to 145 dollars.

I was still out of range of the amount of my bills before the rate hike and so I decided to go into one of their locations , located in West Hollywood, Ca to see if I can further lower my cost. I realized that I would have to loose some of the features to get to my targeted cost which unfortunately I had to do.

But what really prompted me to file this complaint is when I asked their rep at the location, whose name is Nestor, wanting an explanation as to why once they had increased my bill in April from 131. 96 to 151.33, that they further increased it the following month from 151.33 to 163.62. He told me that unless I was committed to a specific plan, TWC can and will arbitrarily raise my rates from one month to another . That is so unethical that I had to file this complaint.

I am attaching copies of all our invoices.
