Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Poor service. Called multiple times to set up an appointment for a service technician. Service call was cancelled by charter and an automated message left on my phone. Called again to set up a service call. At 6am on the day of the service my phone was called to confirm the appointment. I did confirm it, and they never came. Saw a Charter truck by my house and went to speak to the repair tech. He said he was not there for my call and would not be stopping by.
At this point I called and asked for my service to be disconnected on 11/1. Paid my October bill in full and personally went to drop off the Cable box and Internet router 30 minutes away. Waited in line for 30 more minutes and returned the equipment and received a zero balance. Done
I moved out of state on 11/2 and forwarded my mail. Yesterday 11/28/11 I received a FINAL NOTICE BEFORE DISCONNECT notice in the mail!?? My account is past due. A charter field staff will reclaim the equipment!?? My account will be listed delinquent with the credit bureau as delinquent. My account will be turned over to a collection agency
I called Charter immediately to resolve. The operator could not provide me with any information about my account. I was on hold for 10 minutes. Still not available to give me any information. Repeated my personal cell # multiple times and requested a supervisor call me asap with an explanation. No call received. Not surprised."
