Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My Stephen Gavlick had Charter service in his name for our home in Lake Arrowhead, Ca which we cancelled on 2/20/09 when we returned all of our equipment. We did so because we rented our home to 2 different long term renters, one of which is still living there. I have never had Charter service in my name at any time anywhere..

Suddenly, I started receiving bills in my name at my Orange County address stating I owed them money for unreturned equipment and monthly bills. After many calls and promises of refunds for my husband's money and also of ending the harrassment of constant calls and threats and bills it is the end of April and nothing is changed. I have complied by going to www.Charter.com/IDtheft/pkt and filling out all the necessary info and someone determined that I am not entitled to anything and am still the liable party. I feel someone resold a receiver and stole my identity for billing purposes and I am being used as a patsy. Charter refuses to help me. I have repeatedly called and spoken to India customer services and supervisors and now my only recourse is to get help from you or hire an attorney."

  • I'm a Charter Communications customer from Connecticut. We have had a system that has been purchased 4 or 5 times over the past 20 years. I have found that you can't get any resolution by speaking to their outsourced customer service representatives from Southeast Asia or Canada. Contact the UMatter2Charter customer support escalation team. They are from Town and Country, Missouri. I have had at least 20 different interactions with them about technical service, billing consultations, and other local issues. They ARE the people to help you! Check out http://www.charter.com/UMatter2Charter for details on their contact information. Abby (or anyone from their team) will contact you and try to resolve your problem.
