Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"After getting plugs and plugwires installed in my 1990 Buick Regal 3/22/17 at K-W Truck Auto Repair LLC,104 Sherman Ave, Janesville,Wi.53545, Ph.# 608-754-1525, I told Kenny that it didn`t run any better. The bill was $238.33. He told me to go to Centerway Auto Repair. I take my car to Centerway and they say they found dirty this and oily that and soaked me $373.32. The invoice # 43830 dated 7/21/17-91,756 miles. A day later I drive said Regal to a neighboring town. After stopping at the new gas station in Orfordville and refuelling, I headed back to Janesville. While accellerating past city limits, my car started missing and bucking. The Check Engine Light flashed briefly and the RPMs were jumping from 17000 to 19000 to 17000. I sped up and got it home. I drove it and tried to get my $373.00 worth and it didn`t work. Idling at a sign, it sounded like it was going to die. It ran like a tractor. Finally midAugust I take it back. Matt claims they cleaned this and that. Also stated "didn`t seam to make car run much better""Test drove"Still seams to have some warm idle issues". This bill was for $357.27-invoice#43830 dated 8/17/17. This was why I took it there to begin with. On August 20 I drove my car to McFarland and on the way back it started bucking and missing. I got it home and now I`m not taking it back for another $300.00 plus bill. My Regal now has 91,831 miles and runs no different than before plugs and wires were replaced. Almost $1000.00  for a car I paid $1700.00 for. my # 608-755-1575."

  • We get cars from other shop all the time. In most cases all the easy test and repairs have been and in some cases we have to fix what was already done. This was necessary on your. In the case of you car most sensors have to be tested one at a time which takes longer. I stand behind the repairs and the parts we put on your car. I'm sorry your car still needs more work to fix it the rest of the way but that wasn't anything I did. Matthew, Owner.

Centerway Auto Repair should be honest with its customers & come up with a fair amount for refund to customer. If they're not willing to take a little loss for better reputation, they should honestly look at WHAT DID it COST them trying to fix the car & refund the difference. But a happy customer is worth MUCH more than what they paid initially. More...
