Claimant says:
"Was in the area for a Funeral. Made reservations thru Travelocity. Had to call the Hotel to request handicapped room. Was told they do not have any. Told me they had a roll-in shower and I said it was perfect. I also extended the original reservation by one day. When we arrived the as I walked into the room there were two pieces of paper trash on the floorI There was also a wrapper from some type of CBD towelette with white powder on the night stand. As I walked into the bathroom that by the way did NOT have a roll in shower I stepped on black electrical tape on the floor. As I went to use the refrigerator (for insulin) I noticed it was dirty. The freezer was sticky. I wiped it down and proceeded to visit the front desk. I asked the man what I was paying for this room. He said since we booked thru Travelocity he had no idea. I suggested that for any rate it should be clean. His response was he didn't clean and the cleaning staff were gone for the day. "What do you want me to do" were his words. He said I would have to wait until the following morning to talk to the manager.
I had family obligations so I left. When we returned to go to bed I turned back the covers and found black hair in the bed...that was not mine! The sheets did not look fresh.
I immediately contacted Travelocity and they re-located us and gave us a coupon. They said they would be our advocate to try to get us a refund however the original reservation was non-refundable they waived their portion. Today I received word that Budget Inn says their policy is no refund. I do not understand how this hotel stays in business. We never used a towel or glass!"

    $229 is hardly "budget." Your money for a room that was too disgusting to sleep in should be refunded More...
