"April 28, 2014
To Whom it May Concern: I wish to file a complaint against Brian Curylo, dba Hot Top Paving, 25 Tonton Street, Southington, CT due to unresolved contract issues. I believe, Mr. Curylo took advantage of me (73 years old) and my husband (83 years old) because of our ages.

On March 13, 2014, I paid Mr. Curylo the sum of $1,200.00 in cash to cut down a dead tree on the side of my house at 105 Peck Lane, Bristol, CT and to remove all the debris from the tree, but as of this date the job has not been completed, much of the tree stumps and debris are left in my yard. I even paid an additional $100.00 to purchase a blade for his chain saw because it had broken, just to complete the job. I have contacted Mr. Curylo on many, many occasions and received only promises to come and clean the area but as of this date he has failed to come. As part of this contract, his firm was to resurface my drive way and was paid in two installments one of $435.00 (fill in cracks) and $600.00 for resurfacing the driveway. This is a reduced amount due to his urgency to get the money due to his child being sick and needed the money upfront to purchase medicine. I have now demanded the $600.00 to be returned as he has not fulfilled our agreement for the resurfacing of the driveway with no response. So you see I am seeking your assistance and requesting that his overall service rating be declared unsatisfactory and for the return of my $600.00 for failure to complete the job he was originally hired to complete and paid in full for.

Because of our age, my family is furious that I paid Mr Curylo up-front and now we feel we've been duped by someone who appeared to be honest and sincere at the time.
