The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

    "It is evident by reading the complaint that Ms. Miller-Seymour has a comprehension problem.
    Regarding the 6 titles we printed (and this was explained SERVERAL times), two titles were printed from her furnished camera-ready copy from which film was made to print the books. These films were returned. The other 4 books were printed from HER furnished electronic files. These electronic files are used to make the plates from which here last 4 books were printed. So, her electronic files were converted to conform with the press they were ran on. Once converted they cannot be used by anyone else. What she originally sent on disk she copied from her own version of the files.
    As for the storage and distribution, our contract is very clear. Since her books were not selling at a rate to justify our services she chose to cancel the contract. We did so according to the terms of that contract."
