Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"i purchased a Certified Used Van A Chrysler Town@Country 2008 on 3-13-12,and they said every worked the salesman, went to show us how the back seat went up and down. The seat is all electric, and the seat did not go all the way up and he said he wa not sre how it worked and we went on. I did not think anything of it, a few days went by and I went to check everything the van just to see how thngs worked and that's when i found out that the right rear seat does not go all the way up or down and i went back to let him know that the check oil light was on and he said it was a sensor so thats when they sent me to their other Dealership Bev Smith Kia and they fixed the light so it went off. They had to reset it they said and they looked at the seat and came and said that the could not fix it and that it was not under warranty, and they quoted me a price over the phone a hour later, and said it would be $885.25, so i went back to Bev. Smith Toyota on the 4-4-12 and we spoke to the used car sales manager and he said we would have to come back when the salesman was there. So we went back on 4-5-12 and he took the van to the back and we waited in the showroom and we came back out and he said they tried to get the seat up and they did once, and he said he should have left it up but he wanted to try it again and it did the same thing it won't go up or down, he said come back the next day and he would ask another mech. to look at it so i took it back on 4-6-12 at 9,30 a.m and i waited until 11,30 and the shop manager came over and told me since i was a good customer they would do it for $610.00 . I said i would let him know. I think the van was a Certified used vehicle. They should have noticed it before they sold it so I think it should be covered under warranty."
