Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Hello I did get a quote for transmission repairs to a 1998 Dodge 1500 Truck, I did accept the quote and paid the amount of $ 1,531.55 for the repairs on January 2, 2016. When the truck was shifitng between first and second gear while taking off I did take this back for warranty. At this time was told it would take (1) day for repairs, did drop the truck off on January 13, 2016 for repairs. When I called Rick at the shop the truck was not ready and had to but materials for $ 129.97 that were locked in the shop as well as rent a truck for $ 123.58 for (1) day for a scheduled job on January 14, 2016. I called Rick to pick up the truck January 14, 2016 in the afternoon he would not even meet with me. Instead parked the truck outside with the keys in the glove box. The truck was repaired under warranty but still had to purchase materials and rent a truck for (1) day to complete my scheduled job."

  • As you know there are two sides to every story. It is true I told Leland Crockett the repair would take one day but his son dropped the truck off after 2PM. The truck was hot and needed time to cool down. Our shop closes at 6PM. We were called at 5:30 by Marilyn Crockett that same day and at that time I informed her the needed repairs would not be completed until the next day. There was no mention of needing any materials out of the truck. We finished the repair the next day and spoke to Marilyn Crockett who instructed us to leave the truck outside with the keys in the glove box because they were not going to be able to pick the truck up until after we closed.
