"I looked up Dan C. Paik D.D.S. at APPLE DENTAL on- line and his site was just glowing with how good he was with dentures. About how wonderful a smile he could make you.

I made an apppointment with him and he did an examination of my mouth and gums and said there were no problems. I was then sent out to see his bookkeeper. The bookkeeper told me the cost would be $3,100.00, but she gave me a discount for paying the total at that time; which with the discount was $2,970.00. I wrote Dan C. Paik a check for that amount then and there.

This is what it says on his computer site "Hello my name is Dan C. Paik. I have been working as a general dentist for more than 22 years. I designed my office to provide state of the art dentistry. I have been a long term advocate of advanced dental technology. I practiced dentistry for a total of 14 years in Las Vegas, prior to that I practiced for 8 years in California's San Fernando Valley It was here in Las Vegas that I realized the trememdous need for providing quality dental care. I graduated from USC Dental School in 1987 I am an experienced, well trained doctor. I am here to serve you as my patient. My mission is to strive to improve my techniques and treatment through continuing education, new equiptment, and the latest materials I utilize advanced technology to improve the quality of my care. I know that no two smiles are alike, and customize treatment to meet your needs."

What he doesn't say is that all permanent work is done by an unnamed laboratory. I saw a man come to the front reception desk and pick up a half filled gallon plastic bag half full with dentures every time I was there; he was taking them to the unnamed lab for the fitting procedure. None of the dentures were individually wrapped all of them just bouncing around together. I asked Doctor Paik if I could see the model he was fitting the teeth to and he said he didn't have one that the lab had it as they had to break it into small pieces to make the dentures.

The final time I saw Dr. Paik, again, the dentures did not fit and no smile whatsoever. He put some temorary filler in and on them and stuck them in my mouth and even though they hurt and did not meet together properly; he threw up his hands and said that's it!
I said WHAT and again he threw up his hands and said "THAT'S IT! I am through!" AND WALKED AWAY!
I have not seen or heard from him again."

  • Why should I pay Dr. Dan C. Paik for time and materials when I will have nothing for the $790.00. He sounds like he has no responsibility for wasting the time and materials. The pain and suffering Dr. Paik and his assistant caused me should go down in history. Every time but once the dental chair that I had to get into was in it's very lowest position causing me to have to bend over double and wiggle my way onto the chair between the trays of instruments that he used to work on other patients. He was never thinking about anyone but himself. He and his assistant knew that I have a very bad back. If I do not get the full amount of money that he owes me

  • then I will ask for $3,100.00 which is the amount he thought he was worth, but wasn't. I always hurt very bad for the rest of the day. Iwill ask for pain and suffering if it is allowed because after every appointment I hurt for the rest of the day.
