Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"The representative, Danielle Bosted from American Mortgage, told our real estate agent, Denise McKinley of Town and Country Realty, that the buyer of our home was fully qualified to purchase our home. We removed the contents of the home. The day before closing they postponed the closing for 3 more weeks. Now less than 1 week before closing they inform us that the buyer is not qualified. Because of being misled by this mortgage underwriter/ broker/agent we lost the summer peak marketing time as well as the labor and truck rental to move the furniture. Now I have to rent a truck again and move the furniture back in for showing. I would like this agent and brokerage to be fined and forced to pay for my loss.
In the mean time we located another home that we would like to purchase. We will not be able to purchase at this time. Please reply with your thoughts regarding this issue or if there is another agency that you would recommend that I go to with my grievence.

Thank You
Lawrence W Thompson

"Mr. Thompson, American Mortgage prides itself in assuring our clients the best of any mortgage products that are available to them in today's lending environment. Unfortunately due to the recent meltdown of the mortgage industry; Lenders have reserved the right to ask for additional documentation at the twelth hour upon their own discretion. This request may come after a full conditional approval. This recent change will sometimes hamper the opportunity for a borrower to obtain financing, as it did in your case.
I can assure you that we have and will continue to assist the borrower in obtaining a bonafide loan commitment to purchase your property.

We are in the business of assisting our clients the opportunity of homeownership. "
