Statement of Claim
"On 8/17/17, my wife and I met with Timothy, a representative of AIRTIME Air Conditioning & Heating at our home at ***** The reason for the meeting was that we were having problems with a brand new air conditioning unit recently installed by another company at a cost of over $8,000. After an analysis of the system he indicated that the diameter of the duct work in the attic was not adequate for the size of the new AC unit. As a result, the air would not circulate properly and cause condensation which would cause the system to shut down. He also stated that the system static pressure was at .6 to .7 and should not be greater than .2. He indicated that all new larger diameter ducts would resolve these problems at an estimated cost of $7,500. After continuing problems and service calls on the system, on 2/7/18, we agreed to the new ducts. They were installed the next two days. At the time, Timothy stated he would stop back in two weeks, and if water was still filling the safety drip pan, he would install a drain. My wife was also present during this verbal agreement. In a conversation with him today, he denied ever agreeing to that. When I tried to explain, he kept interrupting me. When i asked him to please let me talk, he hung up on me. This is not the professional behavior i have a right to expect. Because the condensation issue has not been corrected, my wife, who has MS, has to climb up a ladder every two days with a wet shop vac and drain 10 to 12 gallons of water from the drip pan or the system will shut down. She then has to drag the vac to the street and empty the water. After spending over $15,000, this should not be happening. I am away on business most of the time, or I would be emptying the water."
