"Dear ROI, your employee Mr. Michael Lehtinen, did extreme damage to my hotel. He broke the front door lock, and kicked in his room door, damaging the lock and the door itself. The repairs added up to $1218.54. I have sent you the repair bills by fax but you have ignored them. I have a signed agreement by Mr. Lehtinen that he would pay with his credit card any damage to his room, also he stated to the police that he would pay for the damage after they tracked him down. I have heard from your attonery, Mr. Sullivan with some erroneous issues that bear no relevance to the agreement I have.
I would like to resolve this issue, but you are forcing me to criminally charge your employee."

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:

  • "The claim is against Michael Lehtinen, individually. Claimant is well aware that ROI Systems, Inc. has no contractual relationship with Claimant. Upon information and belief, ROI was simply identified on the hotel registration form as the Employer of the guest, Michael Lehtinen. Demand is made upon 40 Winks Inn and PeopleClaim.com to remove any and all postings attempting to impugn ROI with respect to this claim. When that is done, I understand Mr. Lehtinen will be in a position to attempt to negotiate a settlement of that claim against him individually."
