Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I went to this walmart to pay my sam's club charge card balance which were Items I purchased and charged at this same walmart , they refused my payment two female employees one named Shyla and the other Kayla saying in order for them to accept my payment I must show a valid ID and sign for payment acceptance because I used my Sam's card with my photo which was invalid when used to make a payment with my personal check without my id plus signature, This is standard walmart policy when ever paying money owed on any sam's club balance club. I want the world to know about this in my opinion stupid policy. I will not use my sam's card to purchase anything at a walmart store again. This occured on 11/16/2015 at10:49:49.
This is the only business That demands a signature plus an Id or they will not accept payment on their own accepted for charge credit card named after it's founder!"

  • Has Walmart explained why this policy is in place? If I understand you correctly, you were required to show ID in order to pay your bill, right? Did they have to look up the bill, or did you have it with you?

If they needed to find your account and tell you the amount to be paid, that might make sense, but if you had your account number and simply needed to give them a check, it makes no sense at all to me. I once needed to lend a friend a substantial amount of money in an emergency; I just took her account number to her bank and deposited a check into her account--there was no problem at all; the cashier helped me do it. I hope Walmart will explain what this is all about.
