Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I bought a coputer costing me 580.00. When I asked how long I had to return it, they told me 30 days..I tried to return it yesterday and they would not take it back. I tried two differant stores. I had the receipt with me. The girl even said they had alot of new help during the Holiday season and that they didn't know. They show me( and circled it) at the bottom of the receipt that I only had 15 days . I asked them, why would I read my receipt, when I asked them before I paid for it, how long I had to return it. When I took it to the Wal-mart that I had purchased it from, she was on the phone with another person and stateing that SUPPOSELY someone said I had 90 days. They said they did have a 90 return policy doing the black Friday sale. I have no idea when those dates were. I bought the computer on 11-11-11. It has been 2 months. It was crashing on me, something to do with the Skype program on it. I uninstalled that hopeing it fixed it. I am upset because they tell you something else when you buy it. Who would buy a computer if they knew they only had 15 days to bring it back. What if it wasn't for me and it was a Christmas present. It's not right that I can't return this. When If I would of bought it when the black Friday deal was and it would of be returnable for 90 days. I am confused about how they can have a 90 return but only 15 days with a receipt ? While the girl (Patti) was talking to the other manager, she sounded like I was a liar. She said that it was circled at the bottom where they stated the 15 day return but I told her that the other store just circled it when I tried to return it. Same day. She made it sound like I was lying. The bottom line is that they should not tell you that you have 90 days to return something, when you don't. Then they put that on your receipt."
