Claimant says:
"I was extremely upset that once I told Mr. Samuels, my landlord, about a sewage smell coming from the bathroom permeating my apartment around 8-15-16 he didn't seem to be in a hurry to fix the problem. On 8-30-16, after he treated the toilet, tub, and sink drains with a home remedy of baking soda, vinegar, and hot water, I let him know that the smell remained and I needed a professional. He told me Rick's Plumbing would come on 9-1-16. They didn't show up until 9-6-16. When the plumber got there, he raised more concerns instead of decreasing advising me that there was a vent problem. I stayed at my apartment for 5 years with no crime no concerns, etc. On 9-12-16, there was a break-in at this apartment. My significant other and myself with my 1 year old son decided to move at that point because we had endured enough...My family were stuck in that apartment for almost 3 months before we could move with the sewage smell coming from the inside from the bathroom and outside of the apartment coming from the sewage pipe coming from the ground to a decent apartment...A copy of the letter sent to him on 10-22-16 is attached. Also, when I returned my key and rent money in an envelope. He claimed he couldn't find the key for at least two hours. I had contacted the police just in case. After the two hours or so, he said he found the keys...I hope he doesn't treat another tenant like he did me..."
