Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Wendells Transmission did a computer checkout on my BMW and lead me to believe I had a bad transmission that need to be replaced. He quoted me $3000.00 for a new transmission so I couldn't afford it so he quoted me a rebuilt one for parts and labor for a price of $ 2600.00 and he would hold it there until I paid it off. So a used Transmission was installed with a 90 day warranty. The Transmission was driven for 8 days and now the same problem I had is back but is not as bad. I can put it in drive and go forward as to the last time of only reverse working, This is not a bad thing but is referred to by the BMW mechanics on line as a safe mode that the transmission has locked itself into due to low oil pressure or a clogged pressure vale , or a control module issue but what ever the code comes up it a common problem with all BMWs. Not a bad transmission that I was lead to believe by Mr. Wendell but a shady trick used by small mechanics to use on unknowing customers. I verified this again on line with u tube for the fail safe switch issues with BMWs will engage before your transmission will go bad. That way you know you are having some issue and you will need to go into the service department in which a BMW is good at warning lights that will come on and make your aware of issues to help keep your car working its well know for it's high maintenance . He knows this for he told me he works on BMW's and other foreign cars. but me not knowing became a quick 2 thousand dollar profit.!!!!!!"

  • In response to Mr. McQueens claim we replaced his transmission when not needed . I use his own statement that when he brought the car to us he had no forward gears. When a transmission is in limp in it will have forward and reverse gears. When the car left our shop it shifted properly. We also informed him that he had electrical issues that needed diagnoses , but he declined. When he returned with vehicle for not shifting we did a free diagnoses and informed him of a blown fuse. We replaced fuse and vehicle shifted properly. This blown fuse was also related to issues that he was informed of when he first picked up car after trans replacement. He declined to have car diagnosed a second time when we informed him of problem . His Wife was very understanding and told us she would explain situation to Mr. McQueen. We never heard back from him till receiving this threatening letter. Our reputation and honor in business is essential to us. Any slanderous or false statements will be taken seriously.
