Claimant says:
"I called my order in on 10/10/2014. On 10/13/2014 the pharmacy called to say that my order was ready. On 10/14/2014 I went to pick up what I had ordered and it was not ready. She, the pharmacist, said that what I ordered had no refills left and the doctor had not gotten back to them yet. when I tried to say that I had been to the doctor the week before she very sarcastically cut me off and said your doctor is a liar go home and call him. I said that I'd let him know that she said he was a liar and she said there you go. Even though my doctor has sent in my prescription I have not been notified about my order as of this day 10/21/2014. I honestly feel that had I been a white person she would not have been so abusive.   • My main complaint was not with fact that my order was not ready when I was told that it would be or that I finally received it a week later but with the sarcastic reaction the pharmacist had to my questions. I found the way I was treaded very insulting. I took this up with my doctor who said that I should file a complaint. Seeing as to how you obviously consider this type of treatment of your customers OK, I'll have to take this up with the BBB.

The claimant's settlement terms were rejected with the following explanation:
  • I disagree with the explanation / grounds provided

    "In looking at the file, the prescription was not sent in by the doctor until 10/16/14. If Jaime would like to come in, we can print a copy out of the prescription that has the exact time and date that it was eprescribed to us. We indeed did not have it on 10/14 and the doctor took another 2 days to send it in to us. This unfortunately happens quite often because the doctor forgets, misunderstands, sends to wrong pharmacy, or is too busy. I assure you this had nothing to do with race as to his treatment. We sent in the original request to the doctor as well as resending the request on 10/14 for the patient. If Jaime would like to discuss further, he is welcome to come in or call and again we will print out the prescription from the doctor."
