Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Verizon closed account and would not assign existing number 813.963.3255 for 82 yr old, long-time, loyal customer of Verizon residential service. A payment for Mr. E F. Grant Acct#15 1217 0697 419703 00 was paid to Verizon Representative, Kelvin, on North Dale Mabry Hwy on 08/09/2011 for $340.06 CTR/Batch ID:1219K073N.

Several attempts by customer to resolve issues and get service connected were unsuccessful, even though a second payment over the phone for $105.24 was made. Representative was not sure of amount needed or any other information because she said she could pull nothing from the closed account. But, promised service would be connected within 24hrs on Thursday, 09/01/2011.

On Saturday 09/03/2011, a trip was made to the phone mart where the representative said nothing could be done till after the holiday, that this was a repair problem. Finally, after going through your automated service the assigned date for repair given was 09/09/2011.
I also requested that my last five statements be mailed to me...nothing received.

Today, is 09/08/2011 at 9:52PM. I will hopefully get the long awaited repair and newly assigned number, even though my old one is not in service and preferable.


Interestingly enough, this past week, I have had the pleasure of speaking with several banks, the social security administration, and the driver's license bureau without any problems or poor attitudes from any of them.

At this point, I have set my expectations at the lowest possible level, so that I can not be dissapointed. However, my bill has been payed, I have been extremely patient and powerless to deal with the big corporation of Verizon. Tomorrow is the 9th day I have waited for service.
