Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Starting approximately 9/5/12, The Verizon sales rep, Marena Sellers, (@2323 N Germantown Pkwy, Cordova, TN 38016, ph # 901 377 4990 x 3) told me that I would receive a 20% discount on all of my lines of service from Verizon, failed to mention to me that I had a 5gb limit on my internet usage (my previous internet company had no limits) implied that there would be unlimited call time, and failed to return calls after stating she would. I emailed the company through their web site and would get a response that was one way, I could not directly return a call, or directly respond to an email. After many attempts I was called and was able to answer at the time of the call by Patrinl, I was willing to compromise by settling for the retroactive discontinuence of my Verizon home phone line. (2 weeks ago today) Since I can't call or email her she was to call back that Friday, and try several times until she could reach me since I can't return the call. She must confirm that Friday that I want to discontinue the home service. She called once, missed her call and did not call again. Since I did not talk to her I emailed Verizon through thier site on Friday to confirm I wanted to discontinue the home servcie. I received an email I could not respond to the following Tuesday stating this person was going to check with Patrina. I have heard nothiong else from Verizon. Last Saturday I emailed again informing them that if I did not get any response by this past Thursday I would start the formal complaint process. No response thus this complaint."

  • Were you at an authorized retailer or an actual Verizon store? There is a difference and an actual Verizon store would probably be better to work with since they have all the access to your account information and they can call customer service on your behalf while you are in the store. Also, have you discussed this issue with a manager? Often a manager can work out deals and approve discounts and credits that salespeople cannot. If they are unable to assist you, remain professional and calm and ask for the business card of the district manager. If you have had the service and did not receive all the discounts you were promised during that time, I suggest figuring out how much you should have received in discounts and asking for that amount as either a refund or even a store credit. It sounds as though you also have their cell phone service. You can use that as leverage in that you are a loyal customer of Verizon Wireless and you don't want to have to look elsewhere. Good luck!
