Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I 5 july, 2013 ordered and paid for a hot tub which was to be shipped september 3 , 2013.cost was $5,497.
informed there was a "DELAY"in manufacturing or shipping and that to compensate I would be given a lifetime supply of filters, dated 9/3/2013
11/6/2013 I was sent pictures of my spa, told it was in customs and would be released and shipped by 11/28.
called to ask for a refund and was offered a 10% refund if I would like to wait for "MY SPA." received $264 refund, not 10%. and was told how sorry they were as the spa was still held up in customs.
12/6/was informed they are now back from holiday and customs is releasing spa by end of week
12/16 was given a booking number and a shipper scheduled to be picked up 12/23
and was sent an email copy of the hot tub user's manual
12/16 was emailed hot tub to be shipped on wed. Replied I wanted a refund or my hot tub NOW!!!
since this point I have been lied to and promised it is to be picked up"monday or Friday whichever comes next". Then after many more calls I was informed they would call me when it was shipped. In answer to the subsequent phone calls I was told that they would get back to me "tomorrow.
The first customer service manager was Steve Winston, have been told he is no longer with the company
Last customer service representative is listed as Crystal Lee, who is never available.
I have since read several complaint reviews about value point listing almost word for word my adventures with this company, from the hold up in manufacturing, shipping, customs, free lifetime filters and % $ back

How is it these people are still in business, or have they ever been in business?"

  • I paid $4,298 for a hot tub......no hot tub, no refund and no help! Contacted the California Attorney General, Better Business Bureau and my credit card company. Value point lies to them too! THIS IS AN ONGOING CRIMINAL ENTEPRISE!!! They have 84 registered complaints with the BBB for failure to deliver, 84 X $5,000= $440,000 Somebody call the cops these are thieves disguised as a legitimate business!

  • ripped me off for$4,298 for hot tub......no tub, no refund. they say they do not have the funds to refund my money and they are working with me for a solution, total BS. I have contacted the California Attorney General, Better Business Bureau (northern Cal.) and my credit card company. It seems no one can get my money back for me, and they just keep taking orders for hot tubs. THIS IS AN ONGOING CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!!!
