Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I received treatment from physicians in the Valley Health network in July and August of 2015. I was fully insured with Medicare and BC/BS who has agreed to pay the bill. However, due to a series of snafus that have been almost wholly the fault of Valley Health, I am still being billed for the portion of bills covered by BC/BS. I am dunned for these charges monthly and called at least once/month by their business & billing offices. I have received 20+ phone calls from Valley Health demanding payment. Their business office has repeatedly refused to make the necessary calls to the insurance company to resolve this. When the billing office has called the insurance company, they have failed to get this issue resolved. Valley Health employees have insulted me, been rude, and charged that the mistakes they have made are my fault. They have refused until very recently to give me the name and contact info for any supervisor. They have not kept coherent records so that each person I have spoken with has to start from scratch to understand the situation. Only my recent threat of legal action has worked."

  • That is my customary fee as a consultant. The time is an estimate from my call records and notes.
    Unfortunately, I had no main contact person at Valley Health because your office doesn't offer any service that is that coherent or customer friendly, as my complaint indicates. I had to speak with whomever answered the phone. They wouldl then have to lengthily go through the computer record to find out the history. Whenever I would ask for a supervisor I would be told that I couldn't speak with one or there wasn't any supervisor available. This continued until late May/early June when I threatened legal action. It was only then that I got Valley Health to take action.
