Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I think it was around the first of October, I signed up with US Tech Live LLC to do online work on my computer. They lead me to believe they were associated with Microsoft. The spoke with heavy foreign accents and were very hard to understand. I paid altogether $212.99. They serviced my computer twice in that time. I was not happy either time. US Tech is closed on weekends and I had a serious problem on a weekend due to something that US Tech had done. So, I notified Microsoft and they informed me that these people were in no way involved with Microsoft. So, I engaged Advanced Tech Support who are with Microsoft to fix my computer. Monday morning, I called US Tech and told them I would no longer be needing their services and I'd like a refund of part of what I had paid them. We argued, but they finally agreed to give me $100. They paid it to my Pay Pal account. As far as I was concerned, the issue was resolved. I was happy that I had gotten rid of them and that I got a little of my money back.

Then yesterday, 10/30/2015, around 2:00, John from US Tech Live called me and said the business was being closed down and I would receive my full refund. The sum of $112.99. But he said, first he had to go into my computer and do some things. I was dubious, but finally, he talked me into it. He did a lot of weird things, showed me where I had over 6,000 viruses, said that my windows drivers were no good and everything would have to be fixed. He had things all wrapped up and about that time, on my end, the power went out. In about 10 minutes it was restored. I tried to call US Tech Live back, but there was no answer. So, I was pretty much helpless. My computer was absolutely down and out. I tried to call them several times. Still no answer. So I called my present techs at Advanced Tech Support and explained the sequence of events. Andre told me I was lucky the power went out. I would have lost everything. In a couple of hours he had me up and running again. And again, I thought that was the end of it. I was happy things turned out as they did. No viruses, no dead drivers.

Then this morning, John from US Tech called again. He said I was still entitled to my refund, but he had to go into my computer first. I refused to let this happen. He hung up on me. I have sent them several invoices for the amount owed me. They respond with nasty letters, accused me of harassing them. If I have the money due me, I want it. These people are not honest. I want it resolved once and for all.
