Claimant says:
"onfri feb 03 2012 the movers of two men and a truck came @ the address we were moving from they gt out start talking it was 3 guys and it took them 20 min before they could come in the house and start everything was ready they just had to move well i called the manager who was in charge and told them they are out here on their cellular phone and they get paid by thr hour whats the problem so he got off and called the driver his name was michael bakes well when he hung up the phone he said hell i can go home i dont have to be here he was cursing the other guy i dont remember his name but he told him to calm down they took they time . well when they arrived @ the new place they broke my glasses drinking glasses i we had clothes packe din a box neat they torn the box from the bottom of the stairs tothe top of the steps and all my clothes feel out my husband stood outside and was handling me the clothes while they just stood there i called nick back and he said im so sorry i will takem 120.00 off the total of the move we paid a hundred dollars in cash and the rest was from the card
they are trying to sue me for the whole cost and its not fair"

  • One question in regards to your claim - did you sign off on anything after the move to say that everything had been done satisfactorily? Because you spoke to what seems to be a supervisor in the office, it is technically notification that there was damage in the moving process, and the American Moving and Storage Association says they have to respond within a certain amount of time to your claims. If they have not responded, this is something that can be brought up in court if they are trying to sue you for the full amount. Also, a complaint to the Better Business Bureau can possibly help. Just as an aside, you may want to indicate which office or location of Two Men and a Truck you are having an issue with. Otherwise, the party may not be able to respond specifically to your complaint.
