Claimant says:
"Timothy Sobolewski whom I meet on Senior's People Meet a internet dating site now 2 years ago has scam me out of $149,000.00 claiming that he loved me and who always would take of me. I wrote and talked to him on the phone for nearly a year when all suddenly he began to ask me to send him money through western union or moneygram. Has a 15 year old grand-daughter with him in Malaysia since he is working as a contractor building a shopping mall in Malaysia. The grand-daughther(Berlene) called me crying and begging me to send money for a serious operation that she needed as a life or death situation from a fall that she had received. The Doctor would not operate until money was received. Like a fool at that time I sent $6K and within a month wanted more money to renew passport and get plane tickets, etc. Has used one excuse after another to get more money from me. At that time I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so guess I was very vulnerable. I just want him to be caught so that he can not do this to another innocent elderly woman. I am devasted and so humilated to think that I believe and trusted them both. His lawyer who goes by the name of "BARRISTER Saint Paul drew up what they said was a legally document saying that Timothy would pay back my money plus 30% interest when he arrived back into the states. That is when I new that I had been "SCAMMED". When something sounds too good to be true it probably is. Any help that can be given will be much appreciated."

  • Timothy's real name I was just informed is Timothy Dawson. He uses Timothy Sobolewski when contacting elderly woman from dating sites with the intention of getting money from them. When made public via the internet use both names for him. Thanks. Jeanette Ferrell
