Mr. Angelos, we are so disappointed to hear about your dissatisfaction with our company. We know how frustrating it is to purchase a new product that doesn't meet your expectations. It is our highest priority for you to be happy with our product. We have tried numerous times to call and email you and would be happy to come out and meet with you and make sure everything is working as it should. We stand behind our products 100% and will not stop until you are 100% satisfied. Please give us a chance to make you happy. Regarding your specific complaint, we think there may be some misunderstandings that we could resolve with a short meeting. With respect to your complaint about your bill being higher after solar than before, we believe that you are incorrectly comparing your before solar and after solar electric bills. Prior to installing solar you were on levelized billing. This is a service the utility offers customers to help them avoid large swings in their utility bills in the high usage summer months. It charges the consumer the average of the previous 12 months of bills. When you installed solar, you cancelled levelized billing. When our service manager Shannon Brewer met with you, you were comparing last years summer bill which was levelized billing (average of the previous 12 months) to you current bill which was NOT levelized billing. Mr. Brewer was attempting to show you that your actual consumption in Kilowatt hours was significantly lower this year than last year but that it wasn't evident to you because you were comparing two different types of bills that were not comparable. I have reviewed the bills you are referring too and your Kilowatt hour usage dropped by more than 1,000 kWh between the two time periods. This is over a 30% reduction between the two years. Your second complaint is that the system itself is not working. Again, we believe this is due to a misunderstanding you have about how the system works. You are looking at the utility meter and trying to determine when the system is operating. The utility meter cannot tell you this and will give you false information. Please allow us to come out and work with you on how to read the data your meter gives you and how to use the free online monitoring software that can show you real time what your system is doing. For instance, on August 20th you said your system did not turn on until 8:10 am. The system actually started producing power at 6:35 am. What you are seeing is that at 8:10 am the system began exporting excess power it made to the grid. Prior to 8:10 am the electrical load of the house used all the solar electricity on things in the house and no power was exported. You also stated that the system stopped making power this day at 12:50 pm. It in fact continued to produce power until 7:30 pm that night. Again, what you saw on your meter is that it stopped exporting power to the grid at 12:50 pm but that just meant all the power was being consumed by the home and nothing was sent back to the grid. We sure hope you'll let us come back and work with you to understand how your system works and we guarantee we won't leave until your 100% satisfied.
