I decided to go ahead and explain what happened that led to the filing of this claim. I thought one of my foundation walls had settled a bit. I checked the (BBB) website and company had an A+ rating, so I felt I could trust them. They put some jacks under my house, but not where the crew leader and I agreed they needed to be. They didn't have an engineer do an inspection, as they state on their web page, and the salesman nor the crew leader checked anything, I have spent $4,700.00 for nothing. I've been lied to , ignored and taken for a fool and I'm tired of people like these taking advantage of other people.
Not only is "ALL FOUNDATION ISSUES WILL BE INSPECTED BY A LICENSED ENGINEER BEFORE REPAIRS ARE STARTED" a good sales technique: it's also required in North Carolina (assuming that is where you live).

You should have been provided with an Professional Engineer's report on the condition of your foundation. If you were not, and the repair was potentially done unnecessarily, that is really all there is to say about the matter - in my opinion, South East Foundation And Crawl Space Repair, Llc owes you a refund, and should talk to you about this very quickly.
With respect to the BBB, they do some excellent work, but they are not lawyers or experts. If a member business provides them with what seems to them to be a reasonable explanation, as I understand it, they will judge the claim as closed and keep the rating at A . This usually works out, but not always, as unsatisfied consumers have often found when taking a matter further.
If the company does not work with you quickly, I would recommend taking it to Small Claims Court. You are well within the $10,000 limit and the case should be heard within about a month of filing. Think carefully about your case and have all your ducks in a row in terms of documentation and photos.
Good luck.

PeopleClaim is a new way to resolve disputes online without lawyers or mediators. By inviting suggestions from the public, disputing parties get ideas that can lead to settlement – and the person(s) who contributed them can win a reward.
Here's what to do: Read the case (left side of page). Then go to the bottom of the page and enter your suggestion in the space provided. Click the Solution button.
Your suggestion will be sent to both parties and will post on the claim. If the two sides agree to settle based on your suggestion, you're eligible to win. Note: Cash rewards may be split among more than one person if settlement depends on ideas from more than one contributor. If you have a claim of your own to resolve, click here.
You can submit up to three solutions / rebuttal, you would like to settle or to be voted on.
