Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"We put $3,000 down on Chevy S10 truck on 2/7/15. Total financing price $10,900 minus our $3,000 down monthly amount $350 for 48 months. The only papers they have us that day was a wriiten receipt of $3,000 and the pink paper that said N/A all over cause he said he was going to pay it as part of deal. Did not give us any financing papers or warranty papers cause he also promised it would have a good warranty.
2/8/15 we took truck to store got home and parked it towards bottom of driveway 3 people got out truck was ok did not move, my 6 yr old daughter was in back seat of truck handing me bags and all of a sudden the truck rolled out of driveway and into road with her in it and me holding on to try and stop it. I went in called silverdale and left a message of what just happened.
2/9/15 Jeff from Silverdale Auto called me and told us to bring truck straight over there so it could be looked at. Craig my husband took it down there and him and Jeff took it for a drive and Jeff said there was nothing wrong with truck and it is safe to drive. We told him we did not want it and asked for our money back. Jeff refused to it. Mechanic was supposed to be there to check truck out but supposedly called out untill wendsday that week. After the test drive with Jeff my husband asked to leave truck there untill mechanic looked at it. Jeff said no you can not leave it. So Craig took it down the road and parked it at his moms. My brother in law took the only paper work we had at this point( receipt and pink paper) down to Faulkner ford later this night and Faulkner told him not only is paper work incomplete but this truck is not even registered in the system. So we drove a truck all weekend not registered cause Silverdale did not finish paper work
2/10/15 Craig made a police report with Pennridge Regional Police. Later that afternoon Jeff called and said since he had nothing he could trade is with he would make a good cash deal. If we gave him $6,000 more on top of our $3,000 for a total of $9,000 he would take $1,000 off asking price and make final price $9,900 that he would take the last $900 in 3 monthly payments of $300. So Craig my husband went in to sign papers for this and after my husband signs Jeff says oh I forgot about the taxes so you need to give me another $800 so now you owe me $1,800 instead of the $900 which I will now take in 5 monthly payments of $370. Now the truck should be registered cause just now the paper work was completed.
2/11/15 mechanic is in so Craig takes truck over. They would not let Craig sit there and watch so they had someone drive him to his moms and said they would call after truck was done. When they picked Craig up they said they cleaned an ABS brake sensor. Jeff said if we had another problem to let him know but next time we would have to pay cause there's no warranty. Craig told me this so I called Jeff and I said hey where's this good warranty you promised me. Jeff said because of the offer he could no longer provide a warranty.
12/13/15 Craig drives truck home after work week parks it half way up the drive turns the wheels just to be safe. 2 hours later we go out to see kids off on bus and the truck has rolled once again this time into our stone wall. Craig gets in from passenger side and we take the truck over to our mechanics(Wilcox). They look over the truck several times, drove it several times after putting a new tire on cause the rim on truck was badly damaged from hitting the wall. Damage to truck was left from rim, driver side mirror smashed and both from and back tire bumbers paint scratched off. After several attempts putting truck on lift and driving it out mechanic says I know why truck is not staying put.. First off your 4x4 is not working and there is an issue with the Abs brakes failing and you also have no reverse lights at all. Our mechanics tell is this truck should Never had passed inspection like this. I called Silverdale right there from mechanics office and told Angel about this she said she would let Jeff know that he was not in.
2/14/15 I called Jeff to tell him the news. He got very upset and loud with me and said that the 4x4 was working and he knows cause he checked it out himself he then said I'm done talking about the 4x4 what's next I told him about abs brakes he said nothing then I said about the reverse lights he said so a bulb blew. I said no there is no reverse lights at all. Jeff then said if I do not get my payments on time I will repossess your truck then said Jess happy Valentine's Day and he hung up on me."

  • The truck repairs from our mechanic included the following see attachment. Our mechanics let us watch them perform the work and showed us the equipment that bad and failed us. Just for giggles now that our mechanic fixed the issues that Silverdale auto did not our truck made it all the way up our driveway and stayed parked all weekend.

Would not allow me to attach file but we payed our mechanic $563.36 to fix this truck the right way
