Claimant says:
"I rented a storage unit back in April of 2015, I moved out of the storage container in November2015. Noticed items missing out of my boxes and snow shovel stuff like that when I went through the rest of my belonging I noticed more things missing. I made a police report and filed a complaint. The thing is I got a letter in January 2016, stating nothing was noticed nothing was taken. The top of the container was like chicken wire, I had clothing, a computer in a bag and boots and jewelry taken. I had insurance, how can they say nothing was taken?
I went to the storage place on two separate occasions, the manager took down my name and number, never called me. I went back this time the agent that was there was rude, but took down my phone number and the unit number that I had at the time of my loss.

How do I get reimbursed for my loss."

  • I would agree to this because that was the basis of the insurance coverage I only wanted what the covered and what I paid for in my insurance. I had things taken that had value to me since I had them for a long period. I trusted them to store my belonging instead they took my things.

  • I had a contract with this company for storage and insurance for loss. When they accepted my payment each month that was acceptance of that agreement. They violated that when they took items out of my storage container. They provided a container with wire over the top. They went into the container I will never trust another storage place.
