Claimant says:
"Purchased a Samsung top loading washing machine on 01/06/12 and noticed it rusting in and around the bleach dispensing port. Samsung says product out of warranty, that the problem is cosmetic, that a abrasive cleaner has been used which would cause the paint finish to be compromised.
Problem is, that the rust started under the plastic liner of the bleach dispenser and I was not aware of rust issue when it first begun, not until much later when it was further advanced and beyond edges of liner and visable (a liner that is not meant to be removed and you are not directed to by owner's manual). A place that has defintely not been exposed to anyabrasive cleaners. Never would I have knowingly purchased a washing machine that is expected to be exposed to water on a daily basis if I had known that rust would form as the norm and that it is simply cosmetic!!! I've owned only new washing machines over the past thiry-five years and never had I had a rust issue prior to this machine. Perhaps the problem is that this is the first Samsung I've owned and that either this washer has defective design and/or manufacturing process.
I first contacted Samsung on 9/10/13 and sent pictures that same day ticket number 2121292577. Didn't hear from them, so contacted again on 9/13/13, ticket 5106568989.
I'm dissapointed with the service and realize its a done deal as they read their prescribted responses to me over the phone. I'll never purchase another Samsung product as I stated to them but wish for consumers to be aware."
