Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"They claim I owe them money for trash pick-up. They bought the company that was picking up my trash. Rumpke service was not good so when paid time was up for my old company we just didn't put our trash out. We have never gotten a bill from them until just recently started getting calls from a collection agency. called rumpke sure it was a mistake I was told that just because I didn't put my trash out for 6 month does not mean i do not owe them for 6 months trash disposal as i didn't call and cancel services. Rumpke did not let me know that they were taking over our trash pick-up either. I think they just want to take advantage of senior citizens."

  • Dear Ms. Mundy,

    Thank you for your patience regarding your Rumpke invoice. We sincerely apologize for any confusion associated with your service and your payment. You are correct, we did acquire your account through the Midwest acquisition. When customers are acquired, mailers offering service details and payment requirements are distributed. Unless we receive direct notification from the customer, we are obligated to continue service whether the trash is placed at the curb or not. Without a call from a customer we have no indication that service is cancelled, therefore, we continue to reach out to you for payment., and we continue to include your stop on our route.

    We apologize for this misunderstanding. It is clear there was a unintentional breakdown in communication along the way. Our reputation is very important and we want to do what's best for the customer. Considering the circumstances, we would like waive all fees associated with your account. We hope that you will give us another chance to serve you some day in the future.

    Thank you again for your time.
