Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"A week ago my family and friends , 13 of us in total made a reservation and they informed us we could check in at 8 am, to receive food and enjoy the resort, but we would not be able to get our rooms until 3pm. We informed them that we , as a family, wanted our rooms next to each other or in the same floor, for convenience purposes. They made a note of that and reminded us to come back at 3P.M .Which was fine with us. No matter .Well when we went into the lobby to check in for our rooms they were not ready. They blamed our request for the rooms being near each other. After 45 minutes they only gave us 2 room keys. We had to wait for the other 2 keys, that were supposedly being cleaned. We went to relax in the lobby. At 4:15 they STILL hadn't even bothered to give us our keys nor inform us over the status. That is when we decided to cancel our reservation. What kind of customer service is that?? If they were really interested in us, they would have walked to us and kept us up to date. Once we made it clear to them we wanted to cancel the rooms due to the time they took to get our rooms, they said"your keys have been sitting here for the past 20 minutes"..... WHY didn't they tell us??? They saw we were ALL there, OBVIOUSLY waiting for the keys, yet they preferred to just stand there and watch. When we confronted the assistant manager, he ended up calling us "clowns" for being upset. Yes, they did offer us to check out later the next day ... at 5pm instead of 1pm.... But after the way we were treated, we had NO DESIRE to be there. GUESS WHAT?? They still charged us 1,000 bucks for rooms we NEVER ENTERED... We are upset because of the time wasted in waiting for those rooms and the way we were treated... People check out at 1pm, therefore they had plenty of time to A) Figure our our room arrangements and B) Clean the rooms. Why were we still waiting one hour past 3? The pools closed at 7pm.. by the time we got settled in our rooms, we wouldn't have much time to enjoy. We didnt want to take the offer , because we already had plans for the next day AND they had treated us rudely.. They still took all our money."
