Claimant says:
"Rebecca Ellen Starks, formerly Rebecca Ellen Searles, formerly Rebecca Ellen Myers, bore two children by John Joseph Myers (my spouse since Sept 23, 1985) The second (a female) was the product of rape of J. Myers. 
He stated that he was working 2 jobs at the time Rebecca decided that she wanted another child & he knew it would be too stressful & difficult because they were already feeling strapped financially. Despite his agreement to have a second child (or his permission), she proceeded with her plan without his consent. She raped him and learned later that she was pregnant. He was advised to leave by friends or acquaintances so did. Later he divorced her or she divorced him. I'm not sure who initiated it. He remarried & later divorced.
We met & his divorce wasn't final. I wouldn't even hold his hand until it was. A couple of weeks later he showed me the signed divorce papers.
Meanwhile, after all he was put through, his ex-wife (2nd one) visited him at his room at a boarding house asking if he needed his laundry taken care of. She seduced him while there. She was part of 2 others who had falsely accused him & got him jailed yet NOW he was OKAY enough to wash his clothes & go to bed with! Even though part of the charges were, that he had raped her daughter. She wanted him back! 
We did some checking & found nothing on file of such things at the Pettis County Courthouse. I knew of what had happened. It just seemed (then) like a wicked-twisted mess but I considered it to be "in the past". 
They were friends with the Judge & attended the same church. As I have mentioned. The daughter of his ex-wife-#2 dated the son of a Judge & she told him the story & he relayed it to his dad. John was released from jail, no files found about it and I met him.
I did see files contained in the files of 1995 that I got from the State Defender's office in 1997 when the case closed. There was a Sheriff Dept. incident report. 
John was sentenced as a repeat offender with no PRIOR because those files on such weren't located & we were allowed to contract a house for deed across from an operational daycare. It was also historic. My sister (10 yrs older) also attended there, as did I & as my son had. 
There was no way Social Services didn't know that was a daycare & no way that they missed the fact that we were buying the house across from it! How could they? We were obligated to submit our new address! We were on-again off-again with being investigated! We received services! At the time, there were no EBT cards. Assistance had to be snail-mailed. 
They KNEW & there's no way that they DIDN'T! They allowed us to move into that house & even visited us at that house in continuance of their investigation! 
After all of that, John's ex-wife Rebecca (Becky) began contacting John wanting to send the kids to Sedalia to live with us. She contacted him several years earlier needing him to provide insurance for the daughter. He complied. He also was making the child-support payments. She once returned a $200 payment that was made directly to her. The reason she said was that the commune didn't use money or have any "use" for it. 
Odd.
We borrowed a truck from John's boss & borrowed $50 from a friend of ours for gas. We made the trip to the Lamoni - Davis City (Iowa) area commune to pick up his kids.
She started out okay but turned into a challenge. I think she liked to argue with me. She hated me. That showed too. She was to stay for 6 weeks only if she wanted to & then return to the commune to discuss further. She decided she wanted to stay so, the Divorce Decree Modification went through & her address made permanent, with us & her dad was made her "primary caregiver". The older son did not have to go back to discuss anything. 
Our tiffs were daily. By the start of the school year in 93 I was at wits-end & phoned the Sedalia Police to visit and talk to her. John was sure everything I told him was "all in my head" and that I was being "territorial". My mother (deceased now) also thought it was "all in my head" and advised that I just take my meds & everything would be OKAY.
If only that had been the case!
My mom began to notice things about Karen too & told me many things about her while she was with my parents either at church or at their lakehouse or RV camping. She became concerned to the point of discussion with others. 
Family sent info about exit therapy they had to get after leaving that commune. They had to get deprogrammed. It was being known as a "mind control cult"
John was able to track down info about exit therapy at the local public library (which he frequented) He located a specialist in Columbia, Mo by the name of Shelly Ossana. He made the first appointment on the same day as ours in the same city was due to fuel costs & time required to travel. We were asked to sit-in on that initial session so we did. The following sessions Karen attended on her own while we waited outside in the van. 
There was nothing prohibiting reporting the 2100 so-called rapes. Maybe therapy went wrong? Maybe she concocted the story to get me out of the picture? I wonder because she made a report on me to her mother who in-turn phoned it in. That was (I'm sure) in retaliation to me calling the Sedalia Police over to our house about her. The report was "unsubstantiated" said DFS. 
My bigger question would be, why didn't she tell her mom about her so-called 2100 time 2-3 times a day starting at day one "rapist"? It had proved simple to make the report she made against me so it should have been just as simple to do the same to "the serial rapist"! 
There had been mention of another report she made when she was about 6 years old about a member of their church &/or commune. It was dropped. No further action taken. Had she lied? Had she gotten her "wires crossed"? Why would she be able to make such a report any easier at age 6 than at age 13 - 15? 
I noticed things with her that I couldn't understand & mentioned them.
Later, in 1997 when I read the contents of the files from 1995, it all began to make sense! Her mother depicted her as a DEVIENT in that letter! I then had PROOF it wasn't "all-in-my-head"! 
The next question would be, 
WHY WE WEREN'T 'WARNED' OF THE DEVIANT NATURE OF THE DAUGHTER OF MY HUSBAND, WITH A TODDLER IN THE HOME?
THIS IN NO WAY SEEMS RIGHT! I have no idea how many times we left our son in the care of this KNOWN DEVIANT! I have no idea what did or didn't occur while we were out, often up to 4 or so hours away, shopping out of town. My son has never stated anything about it. In 93 he was 5 years old. Once, she gave him scissors & he cut big holes in my lace curtains while we were hanging sheetrock in our basement to make a cozy "storm shelter room". 
While "authorities" dismissed these things, these facts & deemed them "unimportant" or invalid, WE still know & they ARE valid with us & the DO mean something! 
These things should have gone to the benefit of my husband and AGAINST her! We were slighted in the worst possible ways & 20+ years later I STILL feel slighted! I feel robbed & I feel CHEATED! WE WERE WRONGED. IT'S TIME TO RIGHT THE WRONGS."
