Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"had my oil changed and was told my transmission fluid was a little dirty I had it changed 60000 miles earlier so I waited a weekand brought it in I asked about the service and do they change the filter as well as all the fluid the tech said if I provided a original equipment filter and gasket for $20. 00 extra in cash they would do that. job done my receipt was for$105.99 but does not include the $20.00 for changing the filter. I drove away and noticed a whining noise while driving . I called them and was told this is normal due to clean filter and more transmission fluid pressure it will go away within a day.the next day 1/26/16 the transmission started to slip when shifting I called and was told to bring it back. they drove the car and said they may hsve used the wrong fluid and went to a parts store and got quarts of the right fluid and the car now would shift properly. I asked them to take me for the test drive and transmission worked fine for about 3 miles then began to slip until car would not go forward the tech then drove back to the shop down rt 5 in reverse the owner apalogized to me shook my hand and said they would take care of the problem and rented me a car until the car could be fixed. 2 days later I went to talk to the owner and his manager Jeremy told me they don't change filters so the parts I bought at NAPA could be the problem and they are not responsible the car is at the transmission shop that they use and says the clutches are damaged and it needs a rebuild cost $1800-2400 help PASTOR SCOTTY WOOD 13 CHURCH ST WALLINGFORD cT 2039033068I"
