Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"In the spring of this year my husband ordered replacement glass panes for our mobile home. Four windows were involved. We had to wait several months as glass was shipped broken, wrong size etc. As I am disabled and spend most of my time in bed, my hunsband oversaw the repairs. My husband left me and I tried to redo my living room. When I came to the windows, I found that one didn't lock and that both living room windows would not open up for cleaning. The windows have a removable lower portion that was removed to install window panes. After repair, the windows on the lower side wouldn't open into the room for cleaning. One wouldn't lock and would not stay in the track. I called the company over a period of five weeks and kept getting told someone would get back to me. Finally my daughter called and got a conditional response that they would be out to check problem but would charge seventy five dollars. They were told that the problem didn't exist before replacement but have continued to put it off and knowing that I have limited income are using coming out charge to discourage further interaction with them. It seems that if you pay for something, are more than patient with delivery problems and find a problem not of your making, that the company would back it's work. I do not want any other disable person on limited income to have to go through a problem like this which can be very unsettling. Now I will have to find some sticks to put in the window to try to ensure my safety."
