Claimant says:
"A year ago I bought two sets of All/terrain tires for my two SUV's. I spent several hours to get one set on the service was so slow with a minimum of three customers in the place that day. This made a long wait for just a lack of effort and manager not helping the techs in the shop as I noticed four workers for the whole shop that was in no form of work pace that I've ever seen employers to tolerate from employees on the clock. The next day my wife was back with the other vehicle to have as set put the other truck. this day I was working all day and getting calls from her saying she had been there all day till I was leaving work by this time of five hours of her there she was thought to be done with having this service done! I drove from my job a hour away and she has taken the truck back because the new tire were so unbalanced the steering wheel was shaking at 50MPH. I finally arrive at the shop and they've balanced the tires three times and still haven't got this done correctly so I suggested there was a bad tire they sold me so the manager is now checking this with different techs working on this problem and still no results of it being a tire so another tech balances the tires two more time after several trips on the lift and removing my wheels this has taken all day. The tech comes to me saying he wanted me to drive the truck as he was going to ride along to see if this has fixed the tires still found to be a vibration at about 65MPH. I told the manager that he need to take them off and put a different set on as that is still not the way its suppose to ride, so the manager says no that he wasn't going to do that because it was probably my trucks steering damper worn out making the frontend shake from the type of tire it was! I told him the it had this same type own it that I was putting the same thing on it and it has never rode this way till they installed these tires so I was stuck with them! The next day I was replacing the front and back breaks on the truck myself and when I was taking my right front tire off to do the pads on this wheel I couldn't get one of the lugnuts to loosen to the point I had to take a pull handle and socket and put so much pressure on it that it broke the stud off inside the nut where they crossed the threads and drove the nut on anyway during the repeated times of taking them off the day before. I wasn't happy with manager at this place so I drove 15mins more to the next location in the store that I'm now getting the first warranty rotate and balance down this day as well this manager fixed the stud but couldn't match the lugnut color for my wheels so I have a Chrome one when the wheel has grey aluminum ones on it this one looks bad so he said if I bought one for it because they only have the chrome ones he would pay me back for it. I looked for the rest of the year and by this time I've found its going to cost me about $80-$100 to replace as you can't buy just one like these and now every one of them will have to be replaced to match or pay more from the custom wheel company that they come from or spend $40 for a set of 20 when the truck has to have 24 I will have to buy 2 sets at a cost of $80 to get the other four to match all the lugnuts color on these wheels. My third rotate and balance I called for a price on tires and some work to the truck it needed told the manager on the phone what I found about this problem and he wasn't going to replace them so I said to turn some brake rotors on the same truck for me while they did the rotate and balance that I had a set of new rotors to put on it so they didn't have to put the old ones back on the truck just turn them so the could used later and he said for taking 2 bolts out a tire to get the calibers off when they was already taking the tire off he was going to charge me $100 instead of $120 for the labor didn't sound fair to me and he argued like this was a big job when I know that it wasn't as that price is for brake service per tire anywhere that you call. I went ahead and come in the next day to have this done only to find the manager I was talking to was the same one from the first store that had caused the problem his store ha closed down and he was now at this location when I get there this guy is talking to a elder woman that was a customer when he told her the price she asked why that wasn't what said to her he got a attitude with her I'm thinking that's the same thing I'm about to deal with again myself from this guy. Well the wait on this day is slow as they told me they could jump strait on it because it had oil,tires,and the rotor to be done which was another healthy bill to pay they pull the truck into the bay and come get me to show me it had an issue of something else but as I got back to it they was still just going to rotae and balance the tires because it needed brake work that I needed to do myself but I wanted to see when they go this wheel off just what I was in need of when the tech got smart with me about I was in his way when he returned from somewhere else he come from behind me saying this before I knew he was coming back to this bay told me to move and I told him the manager said I could see that tire come off I was told pretty rude that I was in his was as he walks up behind me telling me to get somewhere else so I did with disbelief about this then I noticed a red paint scratch down the runningboard o my truck and ask this guy if he just did this and he rolls his eyes and walks away all the sudden the manager comes around the truck telling me with attitude that they didn't do that and that he had enough of me that it wasn't even the same color when the whole lift is that color so he said he wasn't goig to even to my warranty work or any work again for me not to come to his store again so I told him he wouldn't have to worry I wouldn't let them touch my truck again or any of mine he stated to me to get out of the shop. I said Im not taking my eyes off the truck give me the truck I was leaving anyway he threatened me with police! I stated to him that was fine with me to call them I needed to make a report about the damage they just did to the truck and he was mad rushing to get my truck down from the lift and when he pulled the truck out of the bay to release the truck to me within five feet of me watching him he runs over a top to the wheel balancing machine that was full of soap and water that's the size of a tub so I really was upset by this point telling him that this location will be just like the one I was trying to avoid that is no longer open because EXPRESS OIL next door with half the shop of the one he ran was out selling them because him. I was so upset I left this place now wanting this problem solved completely to my liking. I was so glad that same morning before this I had a set of tires that bought for my daughter's car with a different company infear that something might happen and was so right THANK GOD! I also I this matter needs to be settled any other form or fashion did get pictures of the truck on the lift an the damage while it was still on the lift and if later wanted by someone from Pepboys want to get a copy that wont be a problem>"
