Claimant says:
"On or about 1/12/2011 I vacated my home on 216 Glade Hill Rd. Grahamsville NY 12740
I notified all concerned, especially Central Hudson Electric co. , who has failed to take note of my call to discontinue service . This move was due to my inability to pay my mtge and the escalating cost of utilities . Several yrs later as I attempted to get a credit card I noticed a derogatory mark on my credit for $291 placed by Central Hudson . This company has a history of bad service and numerous power outages that caused me several hundred dollars in spoiled food. On clear days with no storms we would loose power for several days and some times as long as one week. On frequent occasions I would have to call Central Hudson to reset the their fuse's so we could have lights.
The service was deplorable and the excuse was they did not have enough manpower to service outlying area ."

  • Hi Mr. DeMeo,

    Thank you for taking the time to escalate your concerns. I have reviewed your account for further information. Your collection account is no longer with Penn Credit Collection Agency and has since been returned back to Central Hudson for payment.

    Although we understand your concerns relating to your Utility Service at this account which was your previous residence, this does not negate your responsibility for the cumulative bill at this location. However, I am willing to settle your claim for $195.00 and remove your account information from all credit reporting. Please let me know how you would like to proceed by May 25, 2016. Thank you for your time. I will await your response.
