Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"Contract date: 1/17/13 with odometer reading of 76,157, with a 30 days waiting period or 1,000 miles.

Claim date: 3/14/13 with odometer reading of 77,178 for new Alternator. Naviss refused to pay the repair shop the $1,290.85 for the replacement of the Alternator, claiming that this was within the waiting period. I maintain it was not. I have had to pay the repair cost and by certified letter, Naviss has ignored again, my request that they defray this cost.

What shall I do next to have them live up to their contract obligation?

Naviss address is 10176 Corporate Square Dr., Suite 240, St. Louis, MO 63132.
Copy of certified letter was also sent to: Mr. Edward Walder, Pres. Omnisure Group of 440 Wells St., Suite 410, Chicago, Il 60654. (My monthly payments are being drafted by Omnisure.) I have not received a response to my letter dated March 30, 2013 from either Naviss or Omnisure."

  • On 08/13/13 I received a call from Ms. Ashley of Naviss. Ashley advised me that Naviss is the Selling Agent of the Vehicle Protection Plan; Omnisure was the Financial Agent (collects my monthly payments), and Enterprise Financial Group, Inc. administers the Plan. She informed me that the claim should have been made to Enterprise Financial Group, Inc., whose address is P.O. Box 167907, Irving, TX 75016 (877) 838-3322.

    Ashley advised that she will contact Enterprise in an attempt to mediate this claim. Ashley also advised that Enterprise is aware of the claim, and it was Enterprise who denied the claim when it was made by my Repair Garage.

    Ashley was anxious to resolve this matter and was concerned that I was still pursuing payment, afterall Enterprise told the Repair Garage that they will not pay. Perhaps you can forward this claim to Enterprise. Thanks. Anthony M. Kottiath

    Please be advised that we, Naviss, LLC, are merely a broker/selling agent for Mrs. Kottiath’s vehicle service contract. Naviss, LLC, does not approve, deny or adjudicate claims in any matter.

    Furthermore, Mrs. Kottiath’s administrator/provider, Enterprise Financial Group, Inc., denied her claim due to a pre-existing condition. Your repair facility/dealer determined a bearing was possibly coming apart in the alternator which is not a sudden failure. Per the conversion between Mrs. Kottiath and the Adjuster the problem started 3 weeks before going into the shop. If Mrs. Kottiath should have any questions or concerns regarding the matter in which your claim was processed we ask that she contact her administrator/provider at the telephone number and address listed below:
