Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"My husband passed away in 2002. I have had two legal counsels, William Napier and Kimberly Auge, representing me from Napier, Wolf, Popejoy & Auge, LLP throughout the probate court proceedings. From April 2002 through March 2014, I was billed over $140,000 in legal fees to represent me as the surviving spouse. The estate seemed to have been settle in September 2014 with additional attorney fees billed to me.

Since I don't have access to a computer or email, much of the correspondence between legal counsel and me have either been face-to-face, US Postal Service, or over the phone. When I receive the monthly invoices, charges are shown for correspondence between my counsel, the executor, and the opposing parties' counsels. I am not notified as what was discussed or what was agreed upon. I did not receive satisfaction that I was completed informed.

Following my husband's passing, Mr. William Napier drafted a probate inventory of my husband's business/personal estate. I recall not agreeing with the evaluation of the assets, but I was "encouraged" by Mr. Napier to sign the document as it was immediately due. I personally felt I was having a gun held to my head. At the time, Mr. Napier assured me that the numbers can be amended later. When I provided estimation from outside parties as to the value of certain equipment, machinery, and inventory, I asked Mr. Napier numerous times to correct the necessary papers which he already filed in the court. Mr. Napier failed to do so.

Subsequent legal proceeding over the course of the next 12 years, the opposing counsel used this initial probate inventory to diminish the value of my husband's estate. Subsequently, my husband's estate which he valued to be over $500k, was reduced to a little over $150k.

Over the course of the years, I have been unsatisfied in my legal representation and feel I was taken advantaged of due to my age, my lack of computer or email savvy, and hard of hearing. Even today when I ask for information regarding the final settlement, I receive poor treatment."
