Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"On September 16, 2013 I purchased a mobile Wi-Fi device (Overdrive Pro made by Virgin Mobile) from Mundo Cellular for the purpose of internet service at my home desk top. During the purchasing process I specifically asked if we would have reception at our address. The sales associate checked with Virgin who assured me that I would have 3G service. Since the very first day of trying to use the device I've found that there is little to no signal that reaches my home because the cell tower that Virgin uses to broadcast its signal to this area is on the other side of a mountain range and in another county. Because of this weak signal, the device(s) experience problems that mask the root issue. The devices' battery runs dead in a matter of minutes and the device itself operates at very high temperatures (over 130 degrees F) trying to acquire and maintain a connection. I've given Virgin every attempt to fix the issue, with the last technician with Virgin's help line telling me that "He couldn't move the mountains for me" and that I should buy an antenna for the device. For the past two months I've gone through Virgins' trouble shooting process of new batteries, new devices, crashed cell tower outages, and constant internet "timed-out" connection failures which impede me opening my emails and responding to my customers for work. I want to return the device with its accessories to Mundo Cellular for a refund and a reimbursement for one of the past two months of terrible service."
