"Meineke Service is NOT Worth Your Money

I will never go back to Meineke again. The service was NOT done up to standards and not worthy of a professional service.

We took our Honda to a Locale Meineke shop #4305 shop for a simple lube and oil and breaks. The repair was done and we took the car home.

After 4 days we experience a loud and nasty noise coming from somewhere in the vehicle. Not knowing what the noise was we decided to take the car to our other Mechanic to inspect the vehicle.

Upon the text drive they isolated the noise to the rear of the vehicle. Upon inspection of the rear brakes, they found the right rear shoe security pin ground into the brake drum. The security show was not properly installed and inspected by Meineke. The Mechanic had to disassemble and inspect for further damage, replace and fix the shoe pin and reassemble correctly. The automotive service gave us a look at a web site as to what the damage was at www.http://2n.me/fvudq.

Not only was the work shoddy, we had to spend additional funds to repair what should have done right in the first place.

On another occasion we had problems with the front of the vehicle. We went to Meineke to have them inspect the car and give us the results of their inspection.

They claimed that the front axle had to be replaced, bearings were bad and other maintenance had to be done to have the vehicle safe to drive. They said it should be done immediately to avoid any other damage to the car. Estimate for the repairs was over $ 1000.00.

We decided to take the Honda to our other Mechanic Boise Automotive Services for conformation. After the inspection from Boise Automotive they found the only problem was an engine mount block that was cracked. The cost of the repair was about $100.00.
After contacting corporate they sent me a generic letter letting me know how sorry they were about what happened.

I have not heard back from them since

  • did meineke do the brakes or just the oil change? if they did only the oil change then meineke is not responsible
