"He should pay her He just did the same to me with a PlaCard in the Winshield. I fed my meter at 8:17am and he wrote the ticket at 10:34am. I'm not suppose to feed the meter again for another 24 hours of the initial feed. Handicapp PlaCard holders only have to pay the $2.00 maximum for a 24 hour period."

    J. Petaluma I have just received a ticket at a meter with a handicap placard by this same person Lamar Elam 0152 on HALSEY AND Acadamey Street. I will now be asking to be reimbursed for the time I have to take off work at $27 an hour to go to court. Handicapp persons have to pay the maximum meter fee of $2.00 per 24 hours only. I did that at 8: 17am and he wrote me a ticket at meter 831 at 10:34am, inwhich my meter has run out already, this meter is an older meter, not a meter that prints a ticket to be displayed in the windshield. He must have a habit of doing this. My placard was in the window and now I'm asking to be reimbursed for any and all time I have to take off of work for this. I am also contacting his Supervisor and Councilman James.

Is this a fair resolution?

  • I don't understand this - are you saying that you are disabled and were parked in a parking space marked for disabled people and got a ticket?  Or is there some other issue? Usually you have to display a disabled sticker to park in one of those spaces.

I'm pretty sure that most tickets state the reason for the ticket on them - every parking and traffic ticket I've ever received, and there have unfortunately been many, says EXACTLY what I did wrong.

Maybe you can add some information to explain the situation a little more clearly?
