Claimant says:
"I spent $30,000 on having anew garage and concrete driveway poured 12 months ago. I have had a couple of very minor issues with the concrete driveway that cost me $12,000 of the $30,000 budgeted for the entire project. Once the project was finished and the contractor, John Kenney of Lally Builders in Bedford Heights, OH, was paid he has been completely non responsive to a couple of minor issues I've had in the last year since the project was complete. The first minor issue occurred immediately after the project was done in January of 2016 and involved cutting away some excess concrete. An issue that would have have taken him 5 minutes to correct. He did contact me back and said he would take care it. Never heard from him again. I resolved it on my own. The latest issue is a bit more involved and and issue I can't resolve on my own. After only 12 months, the concrete apron has two major cracks in it that needs to be repaired. Again, probably not that big of deal for a contractor to resolve. I contact Mr Kenney on December 28 and did get a response. After only a year old, I would not expect the concrete to already had major cracks and wear and tear. The cracks are getting bigger and fear it will lead to a bigger issue in the coming months. I only ask that this contractor back up his work. But, he has already been paid all of his money and he has completely cut off all communication. No response at all and not even an apology for the inconvenience on having to already deal with a problem on a project less than a year old and that cost me $30,000."

  • 01-25-2016 — First minor issue with the driveway. Communcated with contrator who said he would take care of the problem and never heard from him again. Took of the issue myself with another contrator.
  • 12-28-2016 — Notified contrator of major cracks on the driveway and didn't respond at all to my inquiry
