"I SIGNED UP FOR SOME PERSONAL TRAINING AT L.A. FITNESS GROUP AFTER BEING APPROACHED BY TRAINER. SUGGESTED I TAKE PERSONAL TRAINING AND IF I DIDN'T LIKE IT I COULD CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP AT ANYTIME. AFTER THE INITIAL TRAINING SESSION I GOT VERY FATIGUED AND SHORT OF BREATH. I'VE HAD 2 APHIBULATIONS OF MY HEART AND I TOLD THE MANAGER THAT MY DOCTOR ADVISED AGAINST IT BECAUSE IT WAS TOO STRENUOUS FOR MY HEART. THE MANAGER SAID I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT THAT I SIGNED, EVEN THOUGH I NEVER SAW A CONTRACT OR EVEN HAD ONE GIVEN TO ME. L.A. FITNESS TOOK OUT $379.00 FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT FOR A SIGN UP FEE AND TRAINING FEES. I WAS NEVER TOLD THAT THEY WOULD TAKE 12 MONTHS OF FEES ALL AT ONCE. I CONTACTED CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD REIMBURSE ME ALL FEES IF I GOT MEDICAL PAPERS STATING I HAD A HEALTH CONDITION. SO I OBTAINED THESE PAPERS AND FAXED THEM TO CORPORATE OFFICE. AFTER ABOUT 2 WEEKS I CONTACTED THEM TO ASK ABOUT ME MONEY AND THEY SAID THAT THE PAPERS I SENT WERE UNSATISFACTORY. THEY DEMANDED A HAND WRITTEN LETTER AND SIGNED FROM MY DOCTOR. SO I WENT BACK TO MY CARDIOLOGIST AND ASKED FOR THIS LETTER. I FAXED IT TO THEM AND ANOTHER 3 WEEKS HAVE PAST AND NO CONTACT FROM l. A. FITNESS. I FINALLY CONTACTED THEM AND THEY SAID THAT THE TIME ALOTTED TO CANCEL HAD EXPIRED. IT WAS ALL A TRICK TO GET MY MONEY FOR NO SERVICES RENDERED. PLEASE HELP"
