Statement of Claim
Claimant says:
"I am attempting to collect the balance of funeral expenses I advanced to my daughter-in-law, Kimberly Dawn Shelton-McBride after the death of my son Kevin McBride. Kim was advanced and signed all invoices acknowledging that these bills were loans for the funeral expenses because she claimed she couldn't find my son's wallet, keys etc and didn't have the proper financial information. When I contacted her about repayment of this debt, she refused to discuss financial matters with me and referred me to Patrick McCoy, 6942 N. Keystone Avenue, Lincolnwood, IL 60712 - (847)673-3059. Mr. McCoy did put her on a repayment plan but when the checks stopped and I called him on March 5, 2013, he stated that "he had advised her to make more payments and was no longer assisting her with her finances. That was when I sent the Demand Letter which she has taken no action on -- it is provided as an attachment. This money came from my retirement account and as such needs to be repaid."
